My primary motivation to this Yan'an trip would be to experience the arts, thoughts, and civilization of China firsthand through my studies at this prestigious university.”

“Having the possibility to visit the communist headquarter of China during the years of the civil and Japanese war is really a great opportunity. China’s history is profoundly tied to this place, it will provide me an immense knowledge about the real roots of the People’s Republic of China, indispensable for a political science student. I am so excited about it, and I am sure that this will make me more conscious about the many difficulties that the People’s Republic of China had to face before being able to become what they are right now, one of the most important countries in the world.”

“I am ecstatic to go on the Yan'an visit and study activity through the ISO. I am really thankful for this opportunity to experience the cultural heritage of Yan'an and discover the origins of our great university for myself! I have lived in China for a couple years now, but going somewhere new always rustles up a child-like excitement. I think I am looking forward to seeing the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, and the Hukou waterfall. So glad to be able to make memories through the experience with my fellow classmates!”
