A Brief Introduction of 
Xiamen Little Egret Folk Dance Art Center
厦门小白鹭民间舞艺术中心创建于1993年，是中国第一个专业民间舞艺术表演团体。中心以其浓郁的中国民族民间舞蹈表演风格，独特的闽南地方特色、精湛的演技享誉海内外，堪称厦门市最烫金的城市名片。在国内各类舞蹈比赛中获奖百余项，多次应邀参加文化和旅游部、中央电视台的演出。2000年获全国文化工作先进集体。2001年7月赴莫斯科演出获中国人民对外友协颁发的“中俄友谊纪念奖章”。2008年4月被授予“全国巾帼文明岗位”荣誉称号。此外，中心曾46次代表国家、省、市出访美国、法国、俄罗斯、西班牙、巴林等，足迹遍布五大洲，被赞誉为“中国民族艺术之花”。
  Xiamen Little Egret Folk Dance Art Center was set up in 1993 as the first professional folk dance troupe in China. Little Egret Folk Dance Art Center enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad for its rich performance style and consummate skills with distinctive features unique in South Fujian province. Little Egret is a golden brand of Xiamen. It has caught great attention by sweeping prizes in a series of national dancing contests. The center was invited to give performances in many activities held by Ministry of Culture and CCTV. The center won the National Advanced Collective for Culture Work in 2000. In July 2001, the center went to Moscow to take a show there and won the China-Russia Friendship Medal which issued by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. In April 2008, the center was honored as National Woman Civilzation Station. The center has visited many countries such as the United States, France, Russia, Spain and Bahrain on five continents, on behalf of the country, Fujian province and Xiamen for 46 times. Little Egret was praised as the Flower of Chinese National Art.
